Röchling on the K 2016

Explorers of Innovation: The Röchling stand on K 2016

Explorers of Innovation: Röchling presented themselves with a stand looking like an offshore oil rig at the international plastics and rubber exhibition K 2016 in Düsseldorf.

Exceptional booth shows innovative products

Düsseldorf, 26.10.2016 - On Wednesday the K 2016 came to an end in Düsseldorf with almost 3,300 exhibitors and more than 230,000 visitors from 160 countries, the largest plastics exhibition in the world. The plastic processor Röchling was once again represented with a stand of more than 250 square meters at the international plastics industry show which only takes place every three years.

Röchling presented his application oriented plastic exhibits on an extraordinary stand, which stood out from the other stands thanks to its authentic design. Under the motto "Explorers of Innovation" the Röchling stand had the look of an oil rig. With a drilling tower, high superstructures and a view of the sea, as well as lots of loving details like seagulls, warning signs, a helicopter landing field, as well as the sound waves and gull screams, the booth gave the visitors the feeling of being on the high seas.

With the unique stand concept Röchling wants to show how the plastic processor understands the innovation process. The search for new solution approaches must take place in cooperation with the customer in the deep "abysses", where the innovative treasures are slumbering and waiting to be lifted - in direct dialogue with the customers. The response of the professional visitors to the extraordinary concept was extraordinary. They came from almost all industrial sectors, where Röchling products are used. In numerous talks, the Röchling employees were able to convincingly convey the wide range of products and the application know-how and to discuss new challenges with the customers.

At the stand, Röchling presented selected exhibits from the three divisions Industrial, Automotive and Medical. The range includes, for example, newly developed sliding materials for conveyor engineering, flame retardant materials for vehicle and railway construction, medical components such as a head holder for surgical interventions, ballistic protection plates, subsea applications in the oil and gas industry and fiber-reinforced components for the ITER test reactor to research power generation by nuclear fusion. Röchling is also quite big in small scale: under a lens micro-machined components with a diameter of only 0.5 mm have been shown, which are used in hearing aids or in aviation technology.
