In Romania, companies can donate part of their taxes to charitable organizations instead of paying them to the state. Of course, we seized this opportunity.
Since we want our contribution to be used as wisely as possible, we collaborate with the Dăruiește Viață project (“Giving Life project”). They are one of the organizations that we sponsor directly in this context.
Their mission was to build a new pediatric oncology clinic at the “Marie Curie” hospital in Bucharest – financed solely by donations. Thanks to them and all their partner, the project was more than successful: the new children’s clinic is now saving the lives of children every day!
Lights on in the new clinic
Our colleague Aniela mediated the collaboration and was there when the clinic’s lights went on for the first time. It was a magical moment for her: “To know that many seriously ill children’s lives will be saved in these premises is simply indescribable.”
Entire campus for children’s health
Fortunately, the venture does not end here. Dăruiește Viață has already started to work on a second building to upgrade the hospital into a medical campus. Since the project is so close to our hearts, we will continue donating. Hopefully, many new lights will turn on in the Bucharest clinic — because each of them stands for life!
