Foamlite® sheets – for low-maintenance stable elements

Wall panelling, partition walls, doors & door panels

Farmers must meet strict hygiene and animal welfare requirements for species-appropriate rearing and husbandry of farm animals. Stable technology plays an important role in that respect. In particular large-surface stable elements such as wall coverings, partition walls and doors have to be easy to clean and may not provide a breeding ground for pathogens and parasites. Likewise, these elements have be very robust and durable. Our Foamlite® construction sheet can support you in this respect.

Easy-care and robust stable elements

Foamlite® can be used to build low-maintenance and robust stable elements that can be easily cleaned using, for instance, a high-pressure cleaner, steam jet or just a water hose.

Rugged

Foamlite® has no cracks, crevices or holes where vermin such as lice, fleas or mites can take up residence, and is impervious to cleaning agents, pest control agents and disinfectants.

High standards of hygiene

Foamlite® makes it easy to comply with high standards of hygiene, contributes to animal welfare and can reduce maintenance and veterinary costs.

Foamlite® – Properties

Easy to clean

Cleaning and disinfection of surfaces in agricultural settings plays an important role in the health of animals. The surface of Foamlite® is easy to clean using a high-pressure cleaner, steam jet or just a water hose and is resistant to the usual cleaning agents, pest control agents and disinfectants. Welding can be used to completely seal joints. This contributes to animal health and saves time during maintenance.

Easy to handle

Foamlite® as a closed-cell foamed material has a low density of only 0.65g/cm³. Foamlite® weighs almost 30% less than comparable compact sheets. Based on their low weight, lightweight elements made of Foamlite® contribute to easy handling.

Robust

Foamlite® has high mechanical stability and impact resistance, is not chewed by animals and has a long service life.

Good insulation properties

Air pockets in the foamed core provide good thermal insulation and noise damping. Lightweight construction elements made of Foamlite® help control temperature in stables and contribute to animal welfare, in particular the insulation of cold concrete walls.

High-quality surface finishes

Foamlite® is available with smooth or grained surfaces on both sides including high scratch resistance. Surfaces made of Foamlite® contribute to a long-term, high-quality appearance in stables.

Simple processing

Foamlite® can be processed using conventional wood and metal tools. Likewise, the material can be bolted, screwed and riveted without any problems. We have extensive experience in reliable attaching and securing using different fasteners. Feel free to contact us. In addition, Foamlite® is very easy to weld.

Hygienic

Foamlite® has a closed-cell foam core that prevents substances from penetrating the pores. I.e., Foamlite® has no cracks, crevices or holes in which vermin such as lice, fleas or mites could take up residence. Compared to conventional materials, Foamlite® offers significant advantages in terms of cleanliness and hygiene. Commercially available coated plywood and screen-printed sheets can quickly become scratched, cracked and absorb moisture and dirt. Ambient humidity provides a breeding ground for pathogens and parasites. This can result in high maintenance, servicing and veterinary costs. Owing to its non-polar surface, Foamlite® is very easy to clean.

High weathering and corrosion resistance

Foamlite® has a high resistance against UV and weathering, making it suitable for permanent outdoor use. Its high resistance against corrosion permits usage in environments having corrosive influences such as manure, urine, ammonia and high humidity.

“Foamlite® is very quick and easy to clean. This is really helpful in our daily work and frees additional time for other activities. The installation of the Foamlite® sheets was also very easy and much quicker than tiling." Johann Kratzenberg, farmer in East Friesland
