Housings made of Polystone® G HD black are suitable for permanent use outdoors thanks to their high UV resilience.

Working boats made of Polystone® G

Working boats constructed of Polystone® G HD black, such as fishing, police and rescue boats, are particularly long-lived and resilient. At a density of 0.96 g/cm³, the material is about eight times lighter than steel. The low weight supports manoeuvrability and fuel efficiency. At the same time, the material is resilient against salt water, oil and fuels and does not corrode. A protective coat of paint is not necessary. Outstanding UV resilience permits permanent use outdoors.

Beams for bateas made of Polystone® G black HD

In Galicia, mussels grow on mussel rafts called 'bateas' with beams made of Polystone® G black HD. Polystone® G black HD offers high resistance to aggressive salt water as well as high UV resistance for long-term durability in strong sunlight. Compared to conventional materials such as wood, plastic carriers are particularly durable and low-maintenance.
