Röchling offers a broad spectrum of standard plastics right up to high-temperature plastics for direct contact with foodstuffs. They comply with the requirements of the new EU regulations 1935/2004/EC, 10/2011/EU as well as 2023/2006/EC.
Greatest safety
We make sure that our plastic products that are intended for contact with foodstuffs comply with the requirements of framework regulation 1935/2004/EC. They thus do not have a negative impact on:
- the health of consumers nor on
- the composition, taste, aroma or appearance of the food.
Strictest test conditions
Food suitability is verified by migration tests in accordance with regulation 10/2011/EU, which is executed on our products with all the requisite simulants under the strictest test conditions in terms of temperature and test duration.
You can therefore rest assured that the tested plastics are valid as suitable for contact with all kinds of foodstuffs corresponding to our declarations of compliance.
In terms of foodstuffs, the regulation differentiates between:
- dry
- aqueous
- acidic
- fatty
- alcoholic
GMP - Good Manufacturing Practice
It goes without saying that our production processes are subjected to the philosophy “Good Manufacturing Practice“ (2023/2006/EC).
Declarations of compliance available
A written declaration of compliance with defined details must be attached to all food utensils made of plastic that are to be duly marketed. Röchling will make these declarations available to you, with immediate effect, for all tested plastic products with detailed information.
