Röchling Group founds Röchling Technische Teile KG

Mannheim (Germany), March 3, 2005 – Gebr. Röchling KG, based in Mannheim, Germany, has strengthened its position on the international plastics market by establishing a new company. In January 2005 Gebr. Röchling KG, which is globally active in the field of plastics processing, set up Röchling Technische Teile KG (RTT KG) in Eppingen near Heilbronn, thereby supplementing its production portfolio in the area of injection moulding of engineered plastic components.Eppingen-based Bülow & Zunker KG and Sustaplast MKV KG from Mainburg, which were both Röchling companies in the past, were merged to create RTT KG. Steffen Rowold has been appointed managing director and Andreas Reichel has been made technical director of RTT KG. Manfred Wolf has been appointed management spokesman.

RTT KG manufactures high-tech injection-moulded parts using a clambforce range between 250 and 2,000 kN. The parts are principally used in communications and the electrical industry. Further key areas on which the company focuses are automatic insertion techniques, assembly and joining techniques, sensor technology and articles concerned with medical technology. High Performance polymers such as PEEK, PEI, PSU and PPS are processed here, as are a large number of engineering plastics. The overall responsibility for the Eppingen plant lies in the hands of Klaus-Dieter Dobner.

At RTT’s Mainburg plant, the staff are concerned with the injection moulding of highly complex modules used in industry, e.g. in mechanical engineering, electronics and the medical field as well as the automotive industry. Automated machinery with a clambforce of up to 5,000 kN is employed during the production process. The main focus of the plant is on the integrated production of engineered parts with subsequent surface treatments such as joining technology, coating and flocking. The Mainburg works are run by Eva-Maria Molt.

The two sites will develop separate profiles due to their differing technical focuses and will be able to use the expertise that exists within the Röchling Group to their strategic advantage.

Röchling Engineering Plastics, Sustaplast and Seeber-Röchling Automotive are internationally active groups of companies that also belong to the engineering plastics division of the Röchling Group.
