New Senior Management Structure at Röchling Sustaplast

Following the death of Guido Scholz, Managing Director of the Röchling Sustaplast group and the Röchling Technical Parts group, senior management’s operational duties and responsibilities have been restructured.

Responsibility for the technical units production, purchasing, logistics and maintenance will be assumed by Mustafa Altintas as Technical Managing Director. In addition, Franz Lübbers will become a member of the Executive Board of Röchling Sustaplast KG as of January 1, 2010 and will be in charge of sales and marketing. Mr. Lübbers will remain General Manager of the Thermoplastic Semi-Finished Products Business Unit at Röchling Engineering Plastics KG. This reorganization will thus ensure that the current joint strategic approach to the market pursued by Röchling Sustaplast and Röchling Engineering Plastics is continued in the future. Ludger Bartels, COO of the Röchling Group, will remain CEO of Röchling Sustaplast KG.
“With this necessary restructuring, we aim to continue on Röchling Sustaplast’s highly successful course of the past few years and confront the challenges of the future,” explained Ludger Bartels.

Managing Director Guido Scholz was killed in an accident on November 4, 2009. He was 38 years old. “For the Röchling Group, his untimely death means the loss of a respected, competent and dedicated executive. Guido Scholz contributed considerably to the development of the Röchling Group. We all held him in high regard for his great expertise, his enormous dedication, and his personality. He leaves a void that will be hard to fill,” commented Georg Duffner, President and CEO of the Röchling Group.
