Röchling presented themselves in Leonardo da Vinci style under the motto “Ideas become reality” at the K 2010 in Duesseldorf

Positive development continuing

The Röchling Group presented itself at K 2010 – The International Trade Fair for Plastics and Rubber (27.10.-03.11.2010), in Duesseldorf, which drew to a close last week - with an impressive fair stand.

Ludger Bartels, Managing Director of Gebr. Röchling KG, Mannheim, was particularly pleased about customer feedback and the way business is developing for this globally active corporate group: “After the crisis year 2009, the market in 2010 again started to accelerate substantially. The Röchling Group has survived the crisis well and since the beginning of the year has been able to post powerful growth. In order to meet the great demand from all over the world, we will continue to expand our production capacity in Germany and at the international locations.”

Bartels explained that the group’s strategy is the orientation of all activities in clearly defined target branches: “Innovations can only emerge in close co-operation with the customers”. For this reason, the trade fair presentation was under the motto “Ideas become reality”.

Röchling again surprised the fair visitors with an outstanding stand concept. The walls of the over 250 square metre fair stand looked as if the visionary painter and inventor Leonardo da Vinci had designed it personally. The drawings made in his style presented innovative ideas from 14 select branches in which Röchling plastic products are deployed - from renewable energy, medical technology, vehicle construction and traffic engineering, power engineering right up to chemical apparatus and tank building – just to name a few. Fittingly for each branch, examples of real products made of thermoplastics and composites were available at the fair stand for visitors to touch and grasp.

Invitation to discuss innovative ideas

"The motto of the trade fair presentation “Ideas become reality” is an invitation to our customers to discuss their individual problem solutions and innovative ideas with our experts. Together we want to develop new approaches to solutions for implementation in reality,” says Bartels explaining the concept. “We are extremely satisfied with the numerous talks our sales staff, our marketing specialists and product developers from all over the world had with visitors to our stand. They encourage us in the belief that our sales markets are continuing to develop positively.”

With 3,102 exhibitors from 56 countries and more than 220,000 visitors, K - The International Trade Fair for Plastics and Rubber – is the biggest event for the plastics industry in the world.
