Röchling Technische Teile KG Invests Continuously in New Production Processes at Eppingen and Mainburg Locations

Mannheim (Germany), June 6, 2006 – Röchling Technische Teile KG (RTT KG) is investing in state-of-the-art production technology. Insert technology and complex production processes are undergoing strategic expansion at the company’s Mainburg and Eppingen locations. They play a key role in, for example, the manufacture of engineering plastic components.“The investments we will be making in the course of this year and next will take us further in positioning ourselves in the fast-growing market for engineering components by using state-of-the-art production technologies,” said RTT general manager Manfred Wolf.

At its Eppingen location, RTT KG mainly manufactures high-tech injection molded parts using insert technology. They include electrical and electronic vehicle components produced in long runs using new automatic insert-placing stations and integrated electrical component testing. Eppingen also supplies the telecommunications and electrical industries.

The Mainburg production program includes highly complex injection molded assemblies for use in the automobile industry, mechanical engineering and medical technology. In April, RTT KG took into service in Mainburg a new laser production unit to manufacture day-and-night design fiber-optic elements. A laser is used to remove the coating on plastic surfaces and ensure high-contrast signage by day that is luminous at night for use in making, say, in-car controls.

On a new two-component part production unit in Mainburg, RTT also makes vehicle parts with integrated sealing elements. Mainburg will shortly be equipped with its first all-electric injection-molding machine to manufacture high-quality plastic parts for use in medical technology.

Both locations mainly manufacture products for the automobile industry and for Tier 1 and 2 (direct and indirect) automotive suppliers.

Röchling Technische Teile KG (RTT KG) manufactures quality injection molded parts at its Eppingen and Mainburg locations. RTT, headquartered in Eppingen, is a member of the Röchling Group, an internationally active group of companies specialized in processing plastics. The Röchling Group also includes international subgroups Röchling Engineering Plastics, Röchling Sustaplast and Röchling Automotive.
