Almost a century of success in the plastics market

In 1924, when plastic was a completely new and revolutionary material, Gustav Schwartz founded the first European company for the production of thermosets for the roller mill industry. Ever since, the company has expanded into a globally active plastics provider.

Company history:

1924

Gustav Schwartz establishes the first European company for the production of plastic slide bearings for roller mills.

1935

Development of thermoplastic PA6 (nylon)

1975

 The first pulley for crane construction is manufactured. The production of pulleys in the centrifugal casting process is gradually developed to series-production readiness

1995

Schwartz is a joint venture partner in the establishment of CMP,  our production facility in the Czech Republic

2001Schwartz acquires Metalleido (thermoset manufacturer in Italy)
2002Inauguration of the new polyamide 12 plant in Xanten
2004 Expansion of mechanical production in Xanten (2,000m²)
2004 Acquisition of 50% of the CMP shares from the JV partner and founding of STP-CR
2006Doubling of the hall area of the factory in the Czech Republic (5,000m²)
2007

Construction of new polyamide casting plant in Xanten

2019

Incorporation into the international Röchling Group in the Röchling Industrial division and renamed Röchling Industrial Xanten GmbH
