New Board Member at Röchling Automotive

Mannheim (Germany), December 7, 2006 – Röchling Automotive has a new sales and development director in Erwin Doll, 47, who took over the position on December 1, 2006. Doll, an engineering graduate who specialized in mechanical engineering theory, spent 13 years with BASF in the company’s plastics division, gaining promotion from project engineer to sales area manager. He then moved to automotive supplier Johnson Controls, first as sales director and later as general manager in charge of the BMW Group business unit, which included production facilities in Germany, Austria, the UK and the United States. After four years with Johnson Controls, Doll moved to the Plastic Omnium Group as general manager in charge of business in Germany. As a member of the divisional management of Plastic Omnium Auto Exterior he also chaired the Central Europe region with works in Germany, Belgium, Poland and Slovakia. In this capacity he was in charge of international business with all German automobile manufacturers.

Röchling Automotive is a leading manufacturer of plastic applications for the automobile industry and well known for its many innovations in this sector. In 2005, world sales generated by its 3,285 employees at 18 production and development locations totaled EUR 491 million. Röchling Automotive is a member of the Röchling Group, which is specialized in processing plastics. The Röchling Group, with its High-Performance Plastics and Automotive Plastics divisions, posted 2005 sales in excess of EUR 1 billion.
