Röchling opens a new hall in Lahnstein

Additional 3,000 square metres for further growth

Lahnstein, 28th June 2019 | Röchling Sustaplast SE & Co. KG has expanded its existing production hall at the Lahnstein location by more than 3,000 square metres of hall space and other production facilities. With an investment of 5 million euros, the company is continuing the consistently strong growth of the previous years and is strengthening its position as the leading processor of high-performance plastics. With the new capacities, customers will benefit from shorter delivery times and even better service.

In the presence of customers and business partners, Franz Lübbers, Member of the Management Board and CEO Röchling Industrial, ceremoniously opened the new hall together with Peter Labonte, Mayor of Lahnstein, and Mustafa Altintas, Director of Production & Engineering Business Unit Thermoplastics. In his speech, Franz Lübbers highlighted the following: “With the investment, Röchling is demonstrating the great trust in the further successful development of Röchling Sustaplast. The expansion continues our clearly formulated growth strategy. The expansion of the production capacities allows us to react even better to our customers' wishes and deliver faster.”

Constant growth

“Since 2010, Röchling in Lahnstein has invested 40 million euros into the development of the location,” explains Mustafa Altintas. The modern machinery and plant has been continuously developed, a new logistics centre has been opened and the existing hall space in production and logistics has been continuously expanded.

In his welcoming address, Mayor Peter Labonte emphasised that the investment will strengthen Lahnstein as an attractive business location: “I am delighted that Röchling Sustaplast has been investing in the location here for many years and thus sets a conscious example for our region and in particular to Lahnstein.”

A significant contribution to the growth of Röchling Sustaplast SE & Co. KG have the more than 320 employees and 21 apprentices who are being trained in six different careers. Franz Lübbers gave his thanks for the great commitment. “Such strong growth is only possible with a strong team. The enormous commitment over recent years and the expertise of all employees is critical for our success.”

Röchling Sustaplast SE & Co. KG in Lahnstein is part of the Röchling Industrial division with 42 locations around the world – from North & South America to Europe and Asia. The location in Lahnstein is the centre of excellence for high-performance plastics. The Röchling Sustaplast products are used in virtually all capital goods industry sectors: important target industries include railway technology, oil & gas, electronics, foods, renewable energies and aviation.
