Dewatering elements made of ceramics

Ceramic dewatering elements are much more wear resistant than their plastic equivalents. There are many different materials available, all of which can be tailored to meet customer requirements (machine speed, filler content, etc.). ROBACERAM dewatering elements made of ceramics are suitable for all machine speeds.

Special features

This dewatering elements have a useful ceramic thickness of up to 8 mm

Safety features

Supply range

ROBACERAM-PX

Ceramics for the paper industry – especially hard and smooth hybrid ceramics for positions under significant stress.

  • Increased fabric lifetime (excellent surface quality)
  • Energy saving (reduced power consumption)
  • Safety ceramic (thermal shock resistance of 700°C)
  • The most wear-resistant ceramic

Carbon fibre cross-beam

Due to the enormous energy saving which shows the high quality PX-ceramic especially at HighVac covers, the innovative carbon fiber cross-beam are perfect for that application. They prevent, even at high vacuums of up to 70 kPa, a bending of the cover!

Application

Speeds of up to 3,000 mpm – for all positions under high stress in modern paper machines, especially areas with a high vacuum.

ROBACERAM SiC-Premium Carbide

Liquid-phase sintered premium silicon carbide with extremely good wear resistance.

  • Good surface finish
  • Liquid-phase sintered, therefore less brittle
  • High hardness

Application

Speeds of up to 3,000 mpm – fourdrinier machines for all positions under stress
in modern paper machines (from gravitation dewatering)

ROBACERAM-SL200B

Special nitride with further improved surface quality and increased hardness.

  • Extremely high thermal shock resistance of 600°C
  • Increased wear resistance
  • Extremely high resistance to edge breaks
  • Impressive fabrics lifetime
  • Very good surface quality

Application

Speeds of up to 3,000 mpm – for all positions under high stress in modern paper machines, especially areas with a high vacuum.

ROBACERAM-SIN

Highly rated nitride ceramic with needle-shaped grain structure and excellent surface quality.

  • Extremely high thermal shock resistance of 600°C
  • Good wear resistance
  • Tough material
  • Good surface quality

Application

Speeds of up to 800 mpm – GAP formers
Speeds of up to 1,500 mpm – fourdrinier machines for all positions under stress in modern paper machines (from gravitation dewatering)

ROBACERAM-ZIROX

Extremely "soft" special ceramic made from zirconium oxide. Primarily used in press sections.

  • Tough material
  • Enhanced thermal shock resistance of 200°C
  • Low porosity

Application

Speeds of up to 800 mpm – for the press section
Not recommended for former elements

ROBACERAM-ZTA

Special ceramic for special applications e.g. with a higher filler content.

  • Improved surface quality
  • Small grain size
  • Enhanced thermal shock resistance of 180°C

Application

Speeds of up to 800 m/min – entire wire section
Speeds of up to 1,200 m/min – from the forming board to the water line
Vacufoils & formers, flat suction units with a higher filler content

ROBACERAM-ALOX

High-quality technical aluminum oxide ceramic offering the best price-performance ratio.

  • Quality proven for over 20 years
  • Good wear resistance

Application

Speeds of up to 800 mpm – entire wire section
Speeds of up to 1,200 mpm – from the forming board to the water line
