With our Röchling-BioBoom® product family for bioplastics, we foster the use of bio-based raw materials and reduce the use of fossil raw materials. Röchling-BioBoom® at Röchling Industrial includes bio-based materials and mass-balanced bioplastics.
For our bio-based plastics, we use bio-based raw materials that are biodegradable depending on the material (ISO 13432 industrial composting at defined wall thicknesses).
With mass-balanced bioplastics, we promote the use of bio-based raw materials while maintaining the proven property profile of fossil plastics.
With Röchling-BioBoom® you foster the use of bio-based raw materials.
With Röchling-BioBoom® you contribute to reducing the use of fossil-based raw materials.
By using bio-based raw materials, we aim to reduce the environmental footprint in our customers’ applications.
With Röchling-BioBoom® we increase sustainability in our customers’ applications and create competitive advantages.
For bioplastics and mass-balanced bioplastics, very different bio-based raw materials are used in the market, depending on the supplier and material: such as used cooking oil, tall oil or corn starch. At Röchling Industrial, we make sure that no palm oil is used in the plastic products of our Röchling-BioBoom® product family.
Every product consumes resources and has an environmental impact. Sustainability is not only a question of the raw material used, but also depends on factors such as use in the customer’s application, service life and end-of-life options. Considering these factors over the life cycle is crucial for assessing how sustainable a product is. This applies to any product made of any material. In this way, ecological, technical and economic advantages can be combined.
